A Grand Designs-style project in Bristol involved the demolition of a bungalow to replace it with a luxury home for a family of 3. State-of-the-art heat pumps were installed in the home which the owners subsequently found to be high in energy demand and so they felt the logical decision was to install solar energy to offset that cost.

The owners called on JTD to do the work due to their experience of bespoke electrical system design and retrofit installations. The 2-day solar retrofit was completed successfully, significantly reducing the energy costs of the home’s heating system. The installation also included the option to bolt on a battery storage system at a later date.
